About Us – Philosophia Suites Athens
The building
The complex is located on the second floor of a 70s building, that was designed by Spyros Staikos, Hilton’s architect. Located near the Academy of Athens, the inspiration for the project comes from the neighbor historic buildings. The one is the old Stock Market of Athens on Pesmatzoglou Street, a historic building of the 19th century. The other one is Arsakeio Megaro, which is expanded to a whole block and is Book’s Gallery, and Art Theater of Carolos Koun.
The Suites
Each room is created by a different design concept and the goal is to create luxurious but warm & hospitable suites. The furniture and custom elements created by ΜΑΜΑproject that was in charge of Design & Build of the complex.
The Details
All the furniture designed custom for the project, and the main materials are a balance between earth & cold colors & fabrics aiming to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere.
Corporate Identity
The complex’s name is PhiloSofia Athens Suites, and is inspired by the Academy Area of Athens in which is located. The way the brand name is written the goal is to point out the Greek route of the compound word which comes from the 2 words Φίλος [friend] + Σοφία [wisdom]. 10 philosophers are chosen to represent each one of the suites, and their quotes decorate the suites walls.
